Variety reports that Daredevil will return as a Disney+ show. we’ve heard rumors a Daredevil show was being developed but now the trade reports that talent has been locked in for the new series. Check it out.
A new “Daredevil” series is moving forward at Disney+, with Variety having exclusively learned from sources that Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce.
Corman and Ord most famously co-created the USA Network series “Covert Affairs” starring Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham. The show aired for five seasons on the basic cabler between 2010 and 2014. They most recently worked as executive producers and co-showrunners on the NBC drama shows “The Enemy Within” and “The Brave” as well as The CW series “Containment.”
As for whether this will be a reboot, or a continuation of the Netflix series, THR had this to say in their coverage
Matt Corman and Chris Ord have been tapped to write and exec produce a series that will be notable for being the first of the Netflix Marvel shows to get a new but continued series, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

That comment does make it seem like the show will carry on from those old shows. Rumors are that all of the main Daredevil cast will return. This is sure to please fans of Daredevil, and I include myself in that equation. The three seasons of Daredevil, whilst not perfect, were very damn close for me. Hopefully we will see the return of the full cast and the arcs set up in Season 3 will continue. Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk will both appear in the currently filming Echo Disney+ show. Sadly, there are no rumors about other Daredevil cast members returning for Echo, but who knows?
The main take away here is that Daredevil WILL return as a Disney+ show. That can only be good news as far as I am concerned. Can’t wait to see what Corman and Ord come up with for what will hopefully feel like Daredevil Season 4.
