According to the latest Barside Buzz Dave Filoni is filming an unknown Star Wars project in late 2025 for Lucasfilm. The information comes from reliable leaker Daniel RPK on his Patreon. I reached out to Daniel just to cross check notes and it does seem this could be a project we don’t currently know about.
Far as we know Ahsoka Season 2 is set to begin filming in April, 2025. Meaning this project Daniel has heard about is not the Disney+ series. Could it be the movie that Filoni was announced as directing? It is possible, however I’m very doubtful that is the case. It just seems to soon to start filming that, but I could be wrong.

Could it be another MandoVerse spin-off project made for Disney+ we don’t know about? Again that seems possible but without more information the truth is we can only rule out Ahsoka Season 2. It is possible that Filoni’s movie has been moved forward to cover for the delays in the next chapter of Rey’s story. As said above, at first it seems unlikely, but I would never be surprised by anything that happens at Lucasfilm.
I guess we will have to wait for more information on this. Though as always take all rumors with a grain of salt. Plans are always changing behind the scenes with these early leaks, especially at Lucasfilm.
