Jace and Rocky from Comic Boom! are back to talk about this week’s DC releases. A lot of Batman once again as well as a great issue of Justice League Last Ride and the EPIC conclusion to Rorschach. Also Jace gives a run down of all the collected editions dropping this week.

Wonder Woman #779 – Diana has finally reached the end of her journey through the mythological realms. She is surprised to learn who has been behind the plot all along and finds a way to reunite the separate aspects of Janus. The question now is, how does she get back to earth? Also did DC use her time away in a productive manner?

Writers – Becky Cloonan & Michael W. Conrad, Artist – Travis Moore, Color Artist – Tamra Bonvillain, Letter – Pat Brosseau

Batman ’89 #2 – The deep dive into Harvey Dent becoming Two-Face continues. Plus we get an all new Robin in the world of Batman ’89. Fans of the Tim Buron vrsion of the Dark Knight will love this look at what a third film might have looked like.

Writer – Sam Hamm, Artist – Joe Quinones, Color Artist – Leonardo Ito, Letterer – Clayton Cowles

The Joker #7 – We learn Gordon’s fate regarding the charges he is facing and he makes a new ally who could end up being much, much more. Gordon’s history with the ladies doesn’t exactly make that prospect a good one though. Also we get to see Julia Pennyworth in action, while back in Gotham Oracle and Spoiler are trying to find out just how the Court of Owls might fit into all of this, if it is even really them.

Writers – James Tynion IV & Sam Johns, Artist – Sweeney Boo, Letterer – Ariane Maher

Rorschach #12 – Right from the start of this series, we didn’t understand why it was called Rorschach and wondered about that significance. Well we have to wonder no more! The entire creative team brought this home in an incredible way. The subversiveness of Rorschach as a character, and what’s more, as a concept, is so perfectly handled here. Perfect ending to a smart and compelling narrative focusing on justice in an ultimately flawed cynical and imperfect world.

Writer – Tom King, Artist – Jorge Fornes, Color Artist – Dave Stewart, Letterer – Clayton Cowles

Superman and the Authority #3 –  The Authority has not only rescued June Moon from the clutches of her own mind, they have reconciled the two halves of her personality for the first time ever. How long can this last and will it work? Only time will tell. Meanwhile as they prepare to recruit the last member of their team, Superman begins to lay out the plan to defeat the villain he has brought them together to face, but is this villain the only reason he put this team together?

Writer – Grant Morrison, Artists Mikel Janin & Travel Foreman, Color Artists – Jordie Bellaire & Alex Sinclair, Letterer – Steve Wands

Justice League Last Ride #5 – The emotional foundation that was laid out in the first few issues is paying off so brilliantly now that the league is in the midst of a huge battle. Is their long time camaraderie enough to overcome the distrust that has built up in the recent past due to the losses they have suffered? Also can Apokolips be powered up without awakening the clones of Darkseid or can those clones be used by the league. Plus we can’t wait to find out what happened on OA all those years ago.

Writer – Chip Zdarsky, Artist – Miguel Mendonca, Color Artist – Enrica Angiolini, Letterer – Andworld Design

Batman Urban Legends #7 – We get a glimpse of what life will be like for Terry McGinnis without the mentorship of Bruce Wayne. Can Batman Beyond take on the new villain responsible for Bruce’s death on his own? Also we get a glimpse of what the Damian of the 666 universe is willing to give up his soul for. Meanwhile in the 853rd century we see a Batman who can channel the abilities of all the Batmen who have come before him in the ultimate show of legacy.

Writers – Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, Tim Seeley, Guillaume Singelin & Kenny Porter, Artists – Max Dunbar, Juan Ferreyra, Guillaume Singelin & Baldemar Rivas, Color Artist – Sebastian Cheng, Juan Ferreyra, Guillaume Singelin & Alejandro Sanchez, Letterer – Aditya Bidikar, Becca Carey, Guillaume Singelin & Tom Napolitano
