We have more fuel to add to the Kingpin in Hawkeye rumor as The Cosmic Circus has reported they too have been told this. The outlet says they’ve known this for some time. However, only now did they get permission to back up the rumor from their sources. This happens, we have hard things before from our sources we could not report. In fact we still have a few we would love to reveal, and will one day. However if those stories will potentially out your source, sometimes you just have to sit in them. In this instance the outlets sources finally gave them the green light to run the backup story.

To be honest, at this point D’Onofrio is doing a better job of confirming the news. The veteran actor keeps liking all the social media posts declaring he is in Hawkeye. So to remain sitting on this one simply no longer makes sense. Here is what the outlet added to the story though.

So now, I’m just here saying that yeah, that spoiler-laden bowling ball has been aimed true, and a loud echoing strike has been made. It’s true. Vincent D’Onofrio is returning to his Marvel role as Wilson Fisk. Although, he may look a little “larger than life” than you remembered when you next see him.

This would be the second or third time I’ve independently seen rumors that Kingpin will be different and bigger somehow than he was in the more grounded Daredevil. This could simply indicate that the Defenders Netflix shows were in a different Universe. I assume the versions we are seeing pop up in the MCU will be from the MCU, and therefore, whilst similar, don’t have those previous shows to fall back on as canon.

There are also strong rumors, some by The Cosmic Circus that both Kingpin and Daredevil will appear in the upcoming, but unannounced Echo show.

I’m so stoked Marvel saw sense here. You’re simply not going to find anyone who can do Kingpin better than D’Onofrio already delivered, so steal it.
