Today Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment released their first trailer to Sucide Squad: Hell To Pay. This direct to video animated film features Amanda Waller once again summoning Task Force X to take on the immortal Vandal Savage. Take a look at it above!
As far as plot the trailer just lets us know that the Suicide Squad will be going after Vandal Savage in an “off the grid” mission. The trailer seems to focus more on the members of the squad including Amanda Waller’s usual power trip. This version of the Suicide Squad will include Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Frost, Copperhead, Captain Boomerang and Bronze Tiger.
The animation looks to be the same style of previous DC animated films. AS far as the voice actors and actresses, Tara Strong will be reprising her role as Harley Quinn. Christian Slater will voice Deadshot, Vanessa Williams will voice Amanda Waller, Liam McIntyre Captain Boomerang, and Kristin Bauer as Killer frost to name a few.
Here is the synopsis for the film:
Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay finds Amanda Waller’s top-secret Task Force X — Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead — on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so powerful that they’re willing to risk their own lives to steal it. But the Suicide Squad isn’t the only group of villains seeking to possess the object. The race is on for the golden prize … and, to stay alive, second place isn’t an option.
With as much exposure the Suicide Squad has been getting in television, film, comics I must say that this is not a film that I am looking forward to. But with the popularity of characters like Harley Quinn, I don’t see this trend ending anytime soon. What are your thoughts on this trailer? Have you had enough of the Squad? Let us know in the comments below!
Warner Bros. Animation’s Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay will be released sometime this year.
