A new Disney slate shows delays to Marvel’s Secret Wars, Fantastic Four, Blade and Deadpool 3. Plus, we have a rumored date for Spider-Man 4. Keep reading for more details.
Disney has released a new movie release slate for the next few years running right up until 2027. Today we are focusing only on the changes made to what we already knew and was announced at SDCC this year.
Firstly, Blade being delayed was always going to happen given that the movie needs to find a new director and a new script. Blade has switched from November 3rd, 2023, to September 6th, 2024. Perhaps most surprising might be Deadpool 3. It only got a date just a week or so ago and now it has been pushed back from September 6th to November 8th, 2024. Not a big change to be fair.
Fantastic Four, which just recently got a new director moves from November 8th, 2024, to February 14th, 2025. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, is keeping its original date of May 2nd, 2025. However, Avengers: Secret Wars will now arrive one year later, moving from November 7th, 2025, to May 1st, 2026.

As you’d imagine that slate still has a lot of projects called Untitled Marvel, and those are pieces of the jigsaw puzzle still to be filled in. No that would not of course include Spider-Man 4 as that would be a Sony release.
However we have an idea about Spider-Man 4 (impending and inevitable sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home). The folks over at TCC say sources have told them the movie is currently scheduled for July 12th, 2024.
However I would take that with a grain of salt for now, for two reasons. The outlet has genuine sources, but it seems like only one source made this claim. Equally, this far out, anything can change when it comes to schedules. Even dates announced by the studio themselves can change as we see in the rest of this story.
Oh, and finally, we still have two Star Wars movies dated in the official Disney slate. The first is scheduled for December 19th, 2025, and the second scheduled for December 17th, 2027. Whether either of these dates is in any way relevant still is anyone’s guess. We think the first is Waititi’s movie which he’s still writing and the second is Kevin Feige’s which Michael Waldron has been writing. However whether these dates actually stick is anyone’s guess at this point?
What do you think of delays to Marvel’s Secret Wars, Fantastic Four, Blade and Deadpool 3? Plus the rumored release date of Spider-Man 4? As always, leave any thoughts below.
