Did Dawson Just Reveal Ahsoka Will Be Back In The Mandalorian Season 2?

It’s possible Ahsoka will be back in The Mandalorian Season 2. This week’s episode ‘The Jedi’ made it clear that Mando and Ahsoka are on different paths. Fans therefore wondered if this may be the sole appearance of Ahsoka in The Mandalorian Season 2? However a recent Instagram post from Rosario Dawson has made fans think twice.

Dawson commented on a post from Simon Kassianides, who plays Axe Woves. Essentially she says she can’t wait to work with him again. Of course, the issue here is that Axe Woves and Ahsoka Tano have not appeared on screen together, yet. Check it out courtesy of Director Krennic via Twitter.

This could be seen as confirmation that Ahsoka and Bo-Katan’s Night Owls will come back together for the climax to Season 2 of The Mandalorian. I know my The Cantina co-host Kyle Malone predicted this would happen in the finale. I was less sure, but I did think of a great reason for the team to assemble. I’m convinced Moff Gideon will end up with Grogu, and a rescue will be required.

I don’t think this means Ahsoka becoming a bigger player in The Mandalorian though. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, executive producer and Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni hinted that Ahsoka has a larger goal in mind.

“She wants to do good and help people, but rather than do it like the Jedi did, which was all wound up in the politics of the Republic, she’s doing it on an individual basis in the galaxy. Plus, she has a larger quest, which is always more fun when they have a larger quest.

One assume that larger quest is Ahsoka’s bid to find Thrawn, and eventually Ezra Bridger. Most fans expect this part of Ahsoka’s journey to be carried on in a spin-off series. We’ve heard that’s definitely happening through our source at Lucasfilm and that this show will maintain connections to The Mandalorian.

Do you think this means Ahsoka will be back in The Mandalorian Season 2? Leave your thoughts below as always.
