Disney CEO Bob Iger Congratulates Captain Marvel After Cinema Score Revealed

Captain Marvel has had an unfair amount of criticism aimed its way recently. I say unfair because the vast majority of negative reviews seems to be bots and troll accounts. Whether the people instigating this have seen the movie or not is irrelevant as far as I am concerned.

Despite all this negativity, Captain Marvel received an A rating through Cinema Score, which is always a better indicator of how audiences are reacting to a movie. We covered the Cinema Score rating over the weekend already. But now Disney CEO Bob Iger has taken to social media to declare how proud his company is of Captain Marvel and its Cinema Score, Check it out.

The rating really doesn’t surprise me and is probably far fairer than the negativity that has been forced onto Rotten Tomatoes audience scores. I had a few issues with Captain Marvel, at most I give it a B- in terms of rating the movie, but in no way was this a bad movie by any stretch. It was fun, enjoyable and I was quite happy to have spent the money at the theater to see Captain Marvel.

I guess for me for me Captain Marvel wasn’t one of the better MCU movies, but it certainly wasn’t one of the worst either. In all honesty, I enjoyed this origin story more than I did Doctor Strange, Thor, or Captain America: The First Avenger. That being said when compared to the more recent MCU movies, I found it slightly less engaging and re-watchable than the likes of Black Panther, Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok.

What did you think of Captain Marvel, do you agree with the Cinema Score or were you disappointed with the movie, if so tell us why? Sound off in the usual place below as always.
