Disney Reportedly Considering Multiple Star Wars Shows For Disney+, Including Darth Bane

Not too long ago, it seemed feasible that Star Wars would be a franchise that would see a new film hit theaters at least once a year — with a potential Marvel Studios schedule potentially hitting down the line. But with the backlash of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the flop of Solo: A Star Wars Story, it’s clear that Disney needed to pull back a bit and rethink their strategy.

But that’s not to say they can’t start to rethink it on a TV level. We already know they’re looking to Disney+ to release their first live-action original series The Mandalorian. There have been rumblings of a Cassian Andor series, but there may be a handful of other series they’re looking into as well. According to a report from HN Entertainment, there are a few more ideas they’re looking into.

The ideas laid out by the outlet are a young Princess Leia series, a Captain Phasma series, a Knights of Ren series, a Rose Tico series, and a Darth Bane series.

Before you sound off in the comments, this is by no means a confirmation that these are deep in development. In addition to this being a rumor, it’s also early on, so it’s possible these are names just being throwing around for s**ts and giggles.

But with that in mind, what do you think of these ideas? Personally, I think the Knights of Ren or Darth Bane are the most interesting-sounding, as they link less directly to the events in the films (and you know me, I like to skew away from established stuff as much as possible). Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
