Starting February 2, Disney fans can immerse themselves in a whole new dimension of storytelling as Disney+ makes its debut on Apple Vision Pro, Apple’s cutting-edge spatial computer. The collaboration offers Disney+ subscribers with a Vision Pro device an enhanced streaming experience at no extra cost.

Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary platform that will bring our fans closer to the characters and stories they love while immersing them more deeply in all that Disney has to offer.”
Upon launch, viewers can transform their viewing space into one of four enchanting Disney+ environments, each meticulously designed to bring audiences closer to the story. These environments come alive with animations, sounds, and Easter eggs from beloved films and franchises, promising to surprise and delight fans.
Exclusive to Apple Vision Pro, Disney+ subscribers gain access to the entire content catalog, including thousands of TV shows and films. For eligible Disney Bundle subscribers, access to Hulu content is also included. The vivid details of iconic environments include the Disney+ Theater inspired by Hollywood’s historic El Capitan Theatre, the Scare Floor from Pixar’s Monsters Inc., Marvel’s Avengers Tower overlooking downtown Manhattan, and the cockpit of Luke Skywalker’s landspeeder on the planet Tatooine from the Star Wars galaxy.
Disney’s storytelling takes a leap forward with 3D movies, offering an unprecedented in-home 3D experience on Disney+ with Apple Vision Pro. Popular titles like Avatar: The Way of Water, Avengers: Endgame, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Elemental, and Encanto can be enjoyed in remarkable depth and clarity. Additional exclusive 3D titles for Disney+ subscribers will be announced later. Users can also rent or purchase most 3D movies through the Store tab in the Apple TV app.

Disney+ on Apple Vision Pro is the result of collaboration across multiple technology teams within the company, including Disney Studio Technology, Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, ILM Immersive, and Skywalker Sound.
The development of Disney+ environments utilized the Universal Scene Description (USD) format, originally developed by Pixar and open-sourced in 2016. The Alliance for OpenUSD, comprising Pixar and Apple, among others, is working towards standardizing the USD format across the industry.
Utilizing Dolby Vision and Multiview High Efficiency Video Coding (MV-HEVC), 3D movies on Disney+ guarantee exceptional UHD resolution in HDR, providing an unfiltered and independent experience for each eye at a high frame rate for select titles. This ensures that the creative intent of filmmakers is fully preserved and reflected in the viewing experience.
