Disneyland Visitor Pulls Excaliber From Stone

Most Disneyland guests will sooner or later come across King Arthur’s sword, which has for years been stuck in an anvil in front of the famous carousel. You may have even tried your luck pulling it out of the stone and taking your place as ruler of, well, I’m not exactly sure on that one. Maybe Disney itself, or one of its subsidiaries.

Well, one man is about to find out as, during his visit to the happiest place on earth, the parkgoer actually pulled the sword out of the stone, as reported by WDWNT. Sadly, because of the nature of the sword, it sounds like the dude actually broke the sword, with pieces being left in the actual anvil of the stone. Apparently, his friend had told him if he pulled the sword, he’d win the prize, but the only prize he got was looking like a total badass.

Disney has been given a wonderful public relations opportunity and should let the guy be King of Disneyland for a day or something, with the usual and common-sense limitations usually applied in thee situations. Poking around the information highway, it seems at the Florida Disney park, Disneyworld, they have a sort of attraction where guests are supposed to try and remove the sword, and it actually comes out sometimes for people. That being said, the Disneyland sword isn’t made to be pulled out so…whoops?
