Doctor Strange 2: Elizabeth Olsen Says Scarlet Witch Can Travel Between Universes

According to some recent Barside Buzz a Scarlet Witch movie will happen either post-Avengers 5 or Avengers: Secret Wars.

Doctor Strange 2, aka Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, will feature the return of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch. Hot off the events of WandaVision, actor Elizabeth Olsen recently confirmed one of Scarlet Witch’s new powers.

In WandaVision, Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) scratched the surface of Scarlet Witch’s powers when explaining to her how special she really was. Of these, it is said Scarlet Witch is more powerful than the Sorcerer Supreme. So that will certainly play into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Agatha also calls Scarlet Witch a Nexus Being. In English, it means she belongs equally to all possible timelines and the multiverse. With the extra research Wanda has done with the Darkhold leading into Doctor Strange 2, another of her powers has been officially revealed.

Talking to THR’s Award Chatter Podcast, Olsen said:

She has a few fun powers. You know, telekinesis, she can travel between universes…

Trailing off there, Olsen quickly realized she said more than she should have about Doctor Strange 2. Feige is coming… Run!

This powerset has been assumed. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is said to feature exactly what the title suggests. And, it could all be kicked off by Wanda looking for her lost children across the multiverse.

Will this power also be featured in Spider-Man: No Way Home? That film too is rumored to be about the multiverse. That being said, unless she has a cameo, it does sound like the Scarlet Witch may not fully start the madness until Doctor Strange 2.
