Death isn’t all too common in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, our heroes find themselves in life-threatening situations all the time, but very rarely does anyone actually die. When all said and done, only a few heroes have actually stayed dead so far: Quicksilver, The Ancient One, Yondu.

Given how each of these characters went out, it certainly would seem reasonable to assume that they will stay dead. Their deaths were impactful and integral to the plot. However, a new theater display for Avengers: Infinity War makes us question that very thought.

This display comes courtesy of ComicBookMovie, and in it, we see both The Ancient One and Yondu in the character count.

So what does this mean for Avengers: Infinity War? We suppose it could mean that they will return in some fashion (perhaps flashbacks), but we’d like to think Marvel is smarter than that. The outlet speculates that this might have more to do with merchandise than the movie itself, and as such, they opted to keep those characters in.

All the same, it is a bit questionable and intriguing that they’d have them on a display like that.

What do you think? Does this standee bode well for these characters? Let us know down below!

It’s really strange that it leaves out so many main characters, but includes these two dead ones. The fact that so many of the living Avengers and Guardians are left off of it makes me think there isn’t much to read into here.

That must be 1 of 2 standees… The other one must have the other main characters and Quicksilver… I’ve been saying this would involve rezzing dead chars from beginning… Which makes sense… But I hope they pull off Adam Warlock correctly… But so far they’ve blown Nova… And Quicksilver was meh…

there’s been that rumor for a while that there’s time traveling. But so far in all the Marvel films the Infinity gems have been like shooting lasers in the sky, this is probably the only time we will see it being used to it’s fullest……. I would love to see Yondu just yell at Thanos, “YOU SCARED BOY!”
