It took almost 20 years for The Simpsons to get a feature-length adventure o the big-screen. Considering the show’s popularity, it felt long overdue to many fans. It’s been 14 years since the release of the film, and we finally have the folks who like to make fun of films, making fun of a film based on a TV show that likes to make fun of, everything (at least it did at one time).
The ScreenJunkies have given the first family of Springfield, **REDACTED**, the Honest Trailer honor. I think that’s all the setup necessary, so without further ado, the video can be found below.

There was a time when The Simpsons were one of the most controversial shows that aired on network television. The First Lady at the time, Barbara Bush said the Fox series was “The dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.”
The show is tame by today’s standards, however, the show’s longevity is a testament to its enduring nature.
One could argue that without The Simpsons (and to a smaller extent COPS, and Married with Children) Fox may not have made it as a network. I was always known as the kid who had seen every episode, and that was true for a good long while. Currently, I’ve seen over 500 of them and occasionally play catch-up.
