For years the lore of Dungeons & Dragons has been just a well-crafted story by many Dungeon Masters that have taken us on many wild adventures. But next year those characters, creatures, and fabled lands are coming to life thanks to Paramount Pictures in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. 

At San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, an excited crown in Hall H got to debut the trailer for this epic adventure, which we will also share with you below!

The trailer looks like a campaign, which is great. It needs to be light-hearted and with some bad decisions here and there. It seems like they have the right cast for the job. For me, seeing the transformation into the Owlbear and seeing a Mimic was very cool. It does make me very excited to see this film next spring. Anyone who plays D&D knows that oftentimes getting distracted and stealing things leads to very tense moments. Like in the trailer, you often times end up stealing from the wrong person. This seems like it’s going to be no different.

Here is the synopsis for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves:

A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.  Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.

The film is directed by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley. They also wrote the screenplay along with Michael Gilio. It is based on a story by Gilio and Chris McKay, which is based on Hasbro’s Dungeons & Dragons.

The cast includes Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head, and Hugh Grant.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves rolls for initiative on March 3, 2023, in theaters everywhere.
