Dwayne Johnson Indicates He’s Out As Black Adam For Now And James Gunn Responds

in the Latest Marvel Barside Buzz, Dwayne Johnson is being courted for the role of Apocalypse, presumably for the X-Men reboot movie

It’s time for your daily dose of DCU controversy as Dwayne Johnson indicates he’s out as Black Adam in a new statement. Then, James Gunn responds. So check it out and then we’ll talk.

As said, James Gunn then responded to this post below.

So what does this mean? Hard to say for certain, but my guess is that whilst Gunn and Saffran are not against using Johnson as Black Adam, eventually. However what seems clear is that to begin with, Black Adam is not a character they will be bringing in immediately.

Once again, this news indicates that a full reboot is on the cards for the new DCU.

That’s just my take, and without some context that could be wrong. Johnson’s post is very diplomatic. However he also replied to leaker Grace Randolph’s comment on the statement. Check that out below.

This post would definitely hint to me that Johnson is no longer working on the Black Adam franchise as it was.

As I said in yesterdays daily dose of DCU, I think we just have to wait a few months now to see what really does come next for this now fledgling DCU. Well, Gunn did have another question to answer which might at least indicate where some of his inspiration is coming from. Check it out.

Interesting, but I would not read too much into that for now. Inspiration comes from many places and I’m sure that is the case for Gunn’s DCU also. Well, I guess we should find out a little more in January at least as per this post below.

What do you think of this news as Dwayne Johnson indicates he’s out as Black Adam in a new statement and James Gunn responds? Thoughts below as always.
