After years of not acting with Emilio Estevez, Disney managed in convincing Estevez to reprise his well-known role as Gordon Bombay in Disney+’s The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.

The series was immediately renewed with tremendous anticipation the whole cast, including Emilio Estevez, returning.

Now Deadline reported Gordon Bombay was let go once again with Estevez not returning for season two. Disney Television Studios’ ABC Signature decided not to pick up his option over the show’s Covid vaccination assignment.

No official word from the studio or Estevez at this time.

According to the trade site, the studio adopted a mandatory vaccination policy for cast and crew in “Zone A,” which was included as an option in the most recent Return-to-Work agreement with the Hollywood studios and major unions.

Also, it was reported Estevez had creative differences that contributed to his exit. Currently, the scripts are being written and will be re-adjusted with the absence of Gordon Bombay.
