Our latest Barside Buzz coverage looks at a claim that Endgame writers Markus and McFeely are consulting with Marvel, plus a rumor that Wonder Man may be dead. This all comes from the latest edition of The Hot Mic, but not from usual source Jeff Sneider. Instead this is something sources have told host John Rocha.

However, the gist is that Rocha has a source who is telling him that one half of AGBO, the writing half, could be helping out Marvel. Rocha has heard for the past month or more that Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have both been consulting with Marvel Studios. The pair are responsible for writing Captain America: Winter Soldier, Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. What that means I could not say, however there was no talk of a return for the other half of AGBO the Russos.
The second detail Rocha had to share is regarding Wonder Man. Time stamp: 24:40

As you can see by the related link above we got official news that Destin Daniel Cretton was no longer directed Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However the official word is that Shang-Chi 2 and the Wonder Man Disney+ series are still going ahead.
However, Rocha has heard that all the actors who were signed to Wonder Man have been let out of their contracts. This is unusual, unless the show is canned. However, we are in strange times with the strikes having recently ended. It could be just a scheduling issue. That could mean losing certain cast members due to scheduling conflicts. Therefore it may be easier to just cancel and then recast nearer the time. I’m sure that would not effect the lead of the series, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. However, perhaps I’m wrong about that?
For now that’s everything Rocha had to share. Rocha and Sneider did go on to speculate whether Wonder Man was cancelled? Wondering whether Marvel simply don’t want to say so yet. Kind of a save face for Cretton after he stepped off Avengers. However, that is speculation and the official word only two days ago said it’s still happening.
