Deadline are reporting that Ezra Miller is out after The Flash is released. The star has had a troubled time of late and I’m sure that’s not news to you. The latest scandal being allegations that Ezra was grooming minors. This was then followed by some erratic social media messages from Miller. From what I can tell, they didn’t seem to think they were in ‘this Universe’.
The trade have an article about what a predicament WB/D finds themselves in, especially new boss David Zaslav.
Deadline has heard the studio has tried getting help for Miller, but the troubling headlines continue to pile up. Could you send a potential liability on a global publicity tour and have the actor anchor a huge studio franchise play?.
“There is no winning in this for Warner Bros,” one studio source tells us. “This is an inherited problem for Zaslav. The hope is that the scandal will remain at a low level before the movie is released, and hope for the best to turn out.”
Sources said even if no more allegations surface, the studio won’t likely keep Miller in the Flash role in future DC films. That would mean replacing him in the future, but there is still a $200 million investment on the line with the first film and Warner Bros execs have to be cringing at each new press report.

As you can see, the claim is that Ezra Miller is out after The Flash is released. If that does become the decision that Zaslav takes, then I wonder? Could The Flash‘s ending be rejigged to account for this? The last thing the DCEU needs is The Flash to set the stage for what comes in the future, then the actor just gets replaced between movies with no explanation. The DCEU is already changing rosters due in this movie. Surely it would make more sense to hire the new actor, and have them switch at the end?
