Familiar Foes Spotted On The Set Of Jon Faveau’s The Mandalorian

News galore from Mandalore. Ok, maybe not galore but there is some new information about Jon Favreau’s upcoming live-action Star Wars series. Stormtroopers have been spotted on the set of the The Mandalorian. Making Star Wars has snapped a photo from the set of the show that shows two helmetless stormtroopers outside of a building in a wooded area.

You can check out the photo here.

Favreau mentioned on Instagram that the show takes place, “after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order,” and three years after the Battle of Endor. Does the Empire still hold power in some regions of the galaxy? Or are these two simply the remnants of a once powerful organization. It’s a shame a photo of the pair wearing their helmets could not be obtained, that may give us a better idea of what kind of troopers we are seeing.

I have a lot of faith in Jon Favreau, as well as the other people rumored to be involved such as the multi-talented Taika Waititi and Bryce Dallas Howard. I was pleasantly surprised by the idea of the show, but am very excited for it.
