Fan Predicted Star Wars IX Title and Palpatine’s Return Years Ago

With Star Wars Fans trying to figure out exactly what the title The Rise of Skywalker means, there may be someone who can help. Twitter user Gabriel Garcia predicted both the title and the return of Palpatine way back in 2012, the only error being Garcia claimed this would the title of Episode 7.

While he was two films off, this is still impressive, most impressive. The title is an unusual one to say the least, especially for the final chapter in a trilogy, and the Skywalker Saga as a whole. You can see this amazing bit of fan foresight down below.

What if the title isn’t hiding anything and it is describing exactly what is going to happen, Luke is coming back. Possible, but not likely. The theory that the Jedi will be renamed as Skywalkers is a plausible one, however if this is the case, shouldn’t the title be “Rise of the Skywalker(s)”?

One of the two bigger question surrounding the film, with the other being how is the Emperor returning? As the film’s release date gets closer, and we get another trailer, hopefully we will be able to decipher at least one of these looming questions.

What are your thoughts on the title, the Emperor, and how did Garcia nail this prediction? Let us know in the comments down below!
