Fantastic Four Set In Alt Universe – Avengers 5 Begins Filming Next Year | Barside Buzz

In a recent interview Joseph Quinn talks playing Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four for the first time since he was cast.

The latest Marvel Barside Buzz says Fantastic Four is set in an alt Universe, plus Avengers 5 begins filming next year. The information comes from Daniel RPK on Patreon.

First off that Fantastic Four is set in an alt Universe, which to be fair was a big assumption from fans anyway, and that it will begin filming in August. Fans have wondered how the FF would be introduced after not being in the MCU to this point. Another rumor has pointed to the movie being set in the 60’s. Therefore, there are non-Multiversal ways this switch could have been handled. Either way, it seems a good bet the movie will end with them in the 616 Universe, or at least headed towards whatever the plot of Secret Wars will be.

Secondly RPK says he’s heard Avengers 5 will begin filming sometime next year. This makes sense, but of course we’re not 100% that the release date for this movie will stick. The film, which was at one point subtitled The Kang Dynasty is now simply being referred to officially as Avengers 5. However, the main villain is rumored to be a recast Kang, he may just not be alone.

For now we don’t really know which heroes will feature in Avengers 5. It seems likely that the FF won’t turn up again till Secret Wars, but who knows for sure?

One thing is for sure, once the production begins we’ll start to get a few more solid details. Many of the previous rumors could be null and void after extensive rewrites.

What do you think of this latest Marvel Barside Buzz? What do you think of the rumor Fantastic Four is set in an alt Universe? Or, that Avengers 5 begins filming next year? Thoughts below as per usual.
