With the Arrowverse crossover event Elseworlds getting closer and closer everyday, it’s only a matter of time before we get more and more promo images and clips. It would seems like things have gotten really bad in our characters Multiverses because the Monitor has arrived.
A few days ago we got our first unofficial look at Mar-Novu aka the Monitor played by Designated Survivor alumni LaMonica Garrett. Today via Entertainment Weekly, we not have our first official image of the character. You can check it out in the link below!
EW’s EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK AT LAMONICA GARRETT’S MONITOR
The Flash star Grant Gustin describes Garrett’s character as “an extraterrestrial being of infinite power.” He also says that “LaMonica was ridiculous, like seeing him in his suit, he’s just a monster,” Gustin said. “He’s like an absolute unit. He doesn’t have to do a lot with his performance. He’s so intimidating with just these subtleties, so that’s dope.”

The Monitor as been featured in many of DC Comic’s story lines that involve the multiverse. He was created during their Crisis on Infinite Earths event by the legendary team of Marv Wolfman and George Perez. The Monitor’s duty is to watch over the multiverse, which during that event was under the threat of his dark counterpart the infamous Anti-Monitor. Later there was an introduction of an entire organization of Monitors.
The plot for the moment is still under wraps, but if the Monitor is involved then things must be bad. Also making their debut in the Arrowverse will be Ruby Rose’s Batwoman, Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane, and Cassandra Jean Amell as Nora Fries.
