The trailer debuted tonight during the Country Music Awards and it give us our first real look at the star of the film that will supposedly make us all emotional when it soars into theaters at the end of March, 2019. This film directed by Tim Burton will attempt to expand the classic story of the beloved flying elephant. Per the trailer we see that he will be taken from his mother, bullied and exploited. But it looks like he will have a pair of children that stop at nothing to defend their friend.

Without a doubt the most heartbreaking part of the trailer has to be the moment that Dumbo’s mother is sold and they are forced apart. Throughout the footage really get the “Burton-esque” feel that brings eerie atmospheres to the film, which for this film will probably work well to set the mood for a 1940’s failing Circus.

Dumbo is the first of three live action films that are ready to make their debut in 2019. Right after its release in March, Aladdin will be right behind it in May and then The Lion King will follow in July.
