Talk about getting to know your family that you never knew you had.
In Half Brothers, it’s a touching story about two half-brothers from different countries and cultures. With their dying father’s last wish, they embark on a road trip to unravel the secrets of their father that kept the families apart.
The cast includes Luis Gerardo Mendez, Connor Del Rio, and Juan Pablo Espinosa. Luke Greenfield (Let’s Be Cops, The Girl Next Door) directed the film from the screenplay written by Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Renato, a successful Mexican aviation executive, is shocked to discover he has an American half-brother he never knew about, the free-spirited Asher. The two very different half-brothers are forced on a road journey together masterminded by their ailing father, tracing the path their father took as an immigrant from Mexico to the United States.

Half Brothers has a lot of potential. I’m a sucker for these types of touching comedies that end up teaching an important life lesson. Not to mention, it’s entirely relatable for a lot of families that are separated by a border. Many families never knew their other halves due to many undocumented immigrants leading dual lives.
Half Brothers releases in theaters on December 4.
