Florence Pugh Rumored To Appear In Disney+’s Hawkeye Series

Slowly but surely we are getting closer and closer to those promised Marvel series on Disney+. One of those Marvel superheroes to be featured in his own series is Hawkeye. Starring Jeremy Renner, Hawkeye seems to be getting ready to go into production. It’s also been said that the Bumblebee’s Hailee Steinfeld will co-lead as Kate Bishop.

Today via The Direct we have also heard about another rumored addition to the cast. Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova is also said to be featured in the series. She should have already made her debut this year in Marvel Studios’ Black Widow. The extent of her role is currently unknown.

Their sources indicate that she will be wearing a Ronin-inspired costume like the one that Hawkeye wore in Avengers: Endgame. It seems like there is a chance that she could be taking the title of Ronin for a short period of time in the series. Or maybe using it as an undercover operation. Marvel is getting ready to position Belova as the next Black Widow for the future so the role of the Ronin doesn’t seem too probable. Then again it could just be the case of a cameo role where she comes in and helps Clint and Kate throughout the series.

Florence Pugh

Pugh is a great actress and I think she would be a great fit for future MCU plans. It’s a shame that we have not been able to see her in action thanks to the theatrical release delays. She has been in films like Fighting with My Family and Midsommar to name a few. If these rumors along with a few others turn out to be true then I think the Hawkeye series has the potential to be really good.

Marvel Studio’s Black Widow is currently scheduled to be released on May 7th, 2020.
