Spider-Man: No Way Home Post Credit Scenes - One Great, One Controversial - No SPOILERS | Barside Buzz

Ok no more spoiler tags. What we are talking about here is that The Cosmic Circus has heard some details regarding the appearance of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men in No Way Home. According to their sources, both former Spidey directors Sam Raimi and Marc Webb were consulted. Specifically on backstories for their respective Spider-Men. Those Universes didn’t just stop after the movies. Both characters have a backstory that happened after the cameras cut away.

Now the backstory thing is a rumor I’ve heard more than once already, so this seems like a show in. However the new info here is clearly that Raimi and Webb were consulted.

Here is the exact wording from the outlet.

Sources close to the production have informed us that the lore from the universes of these 2 Spider-Men (Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield) will be expanded upon during the film. We’ll be given some backstory as to what the Spideys have been up to in their world since their sagas ended. This includes learning about how Sandman died in the years following Spider-Man 3 and how Lizard passed away years after The Amazing Spider-Man. Another significant point addressed during this film is the kind of toll that being Spider-Man has taken on Maguire’s and Garfield’s adaptations.

Sources also tell us that the former directors (Raimi and Webb) were consulted during the development of these characters. So at least knowing their vision will be continued as the directors intended should be reassuring for some fans.

What do you think of the former Spidey directors consulted on backstory in Spider-Man: No Way Home for the previous Spider-Men? As always, leave any thoughts on this Barside Buzz down below.
