Fox Movies Are Latest Casualties To Come From Disney/Fox Merger

What does the fox say? Not much these days as Alan Horn, studio chief for the Disney has done away with, in one form or another a handful of films that were in development at Fox before the House of Mouse acquired most of the company for $71.3 billion, and became one Infinity Stone closer to becoming our overlords.

The films were Mouse Guard, which was deemed too expensive, On the Come Up which found a new home at Paramount, News of the World which now resides at Paramount, and Fruit Loops a television show starring Woody Harrelson currently is still with Disney but is said to soon be shopped around.

It’s not all bad news though, The Great Game, a prequel to The Kingsman is still on track, and Avatar 2 is safe. It also shouldn’t be too long before we start to hear whispers of Marvel gearing up to make the X-Men their own again, and at some point The Fantastic Four as well.

Soon it will be easier to name what Disney doesn’t own than what they do, not only have the added most of Fox, acquiring franchises like Die Hard and Planet of the Apes, they’re about to jump into the streaming game with a monthly price about half of what Netflix charges, and with golden properties such as Marvel and Star Wars, Netflix better keep an eye on Mickey.
