Freevee’s Dinner with the Parents | Daniel Thrasher and Jon Glaser on Comedy Dynamics

The Langer Family must have the best Friday nights in the Freevee series Dinner with the Parents.

Based on the United Kingdom’s Channel 4 award-winning series Friday Night Dinner, this new Freevee series revisits a very eccentric family in their weekly gatherings.

The series stars Michaela Watkins (Tiny Beautiful Things, Casual) as Jane, Dan Bakkedahl (Veep) as Harvey, Carol Kane (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) as Rose/Nana, Henry Hall (Curb Your Enthusiasm) as David, Daniel Thrasher as Gregg, and Jon Glaser (Life and Beth) as Donnie. This season’s guest stars included Rob Delaney (Deadpool), Christine Adams (Hijack), and Mircea Monroe (The Rookie).

Here is the brief synopsis:

Dinner with the Parents is a single-camera comedy series about a weekly family get-together that always devolves into chaos and fiasco. Every Friday evening, the closely-knit Langers prove that it takes those we love best to bring out our worst. On tonight’s menu: lies, betrayals, pranks, schemes, unwelcome neighbors, childhood crushes, at least one felony, many very bad decisions, and a scrumptious, freshly-baked apple crisp.
