Chances are by now you’ve already seen Frozen II in theaters. If that ridiculous $750 million number is anything to go off of, this movie isn’t wallowing in obscurity, and the same probably goes for its soundtrack. While Frozen got famous for its earworm “Let it Go,” this latest entry has Elsa singing “Into the Unknown,” an eerie tune that calls to the ice queen in the night.
While most don’t seem to think it quite holds a candle to let it go in terms of catchiness, it is pretty strong in its own way. And now, Disney has released the full sequence from the film, which you can check out below.
Of course, the song is sung by the incomparable Idina Menzel (it also features Aurora) and was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who return as songwriters from the first movie.
If you haven’t made it to the theater for one reason or another, what do you think of this new song? Is it deserving of the Best Original Song Oscar trophy we know it’s going for? Let us know your thoughts down below!
