It appears as if the Night King may be making significant upgrades to his army of the dead, possibly with some of the most fierce warriors in Westeros, the Dothraki. Watchers on the Wall reports that as filming for Season 8 continues, extras adorned in CGI gear have been spotted, and most interestingly, they are on horseback. This points to the Dothraki becoming wights and being enlisted into the Night King’s army.

While I am not exactly sure how much of the who a person used to be is retained after becoming a wight, a Dothraki wight seems it would a force to be reckoned with. Known to be the savages of Westeros they show no mercy and becoming undead seems as if it would only increase their bloodlust, strengthening the army of the dead to something truly scary.

To be honest, while this concept seems a no-brainer, though I hadn’t really thought of this possibility before now. This has the potential to be a game changer in the coming war, especially when Westeros’ human army, led by Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, is down to just two dragons.
