Does everyone remember Game of Thrones? The quaint little show we all last seen a new episode of almost two years ago? You do? Good!
While promoting his upcoming film I Think We’re Alone Now, star Peter Dinklage was asked if it’s possible for Season 6’s Battle of the Bastards could ever be topped. His response was comforting.
“Oh my god, and then some. You are in for it. Truly.”
Luckily, I don’t think he’s full of it. As you’ll recall, The battle took the cast and crew a record 55 days to shoot. Below you can see a note from the producers last April, which thanked all involved for their hard work.

The Battle of the Bastards at the end of Season 6 was incredible, and probably one of the most extravagant battles I have seen in any television show or film. I was seriously blown away, I loved how the camera more or less followed Jon Snow through the battle. It’s not going to be easy to top the Battle of the Bastards, but the upcoming huge battle in Season 8 already has a lot of hype surrounding it. Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait too much longer to watch it. The last sort of rough time frame I heard on for a Season 8 release was Summer 2019.
The eighth season of the wildly popular show will only consist of six episodes, which is sort of a bummer, but I am expecting the episodes to clock in at at least 90 minutes each. All the pieces are on the board, and everything over the last seven seasons have set up this final season to declare once and for all who is the rightful ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.
