So as most of you readers know the Game of Thrones prequel, known for the time being as Bloodmoon, is currently filming. It wasn’t that long ago that George R.R. Martin revealed a good deal of information about the upcoming series and today we have some photos from the set.
GoTlikelocations posted a few iamges to their Twitter account showing us ships that are reminiscent of the ones used by the Vikings, however, what’s most interesting about these photos is the sigil displayed on one of said ships appears to be an older version of the wolf sigil of House Stark. Though not eveyone around the Internet seems convinced. Reading through the comments on the post there are guesses ranging from a badger to a dragon, my favorite reply though has gotta be from the person who said it was the Thundercats symbol.
Only shortly before sunset the prop boat came out of the grotto again to go back to the production's second base in the port of Gaeta. This time the boat's crew was in costume and the banner (which might be an early Stark one?) revealed. #Bloodmoon #Gaeta pic.twitter.com/WYRFn3aJMT

Im all likelihood, the sigil belongs to House Stark, though I can see why people are saying it looks like a dragon. The ears of the animal look a lot like the horns on Daenerys’ dragons. I just don’t know, the more I look at it, the less it looks like a wolf, but seeing how the Starks are confirmed to appear in the series, I’d say it’s a safe bet the sigil in question resides in Winterfell.
Do you think this is an older version of the Stark sigil, or is it the banner of another noble house? Let us know in the comments down below!
