Reddit has struck again. The online community who has engaged in Internet shenanigans a time or two has turned their focus to Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. In the aftermath of the, well, underwhelming final season of Game of Thrones the team known to fans as D&D appeared as the top search result for “bad writers.”
This has surely been remedied by now but was made possible by the /freefolk subreddit who implored other site users to upvote the “Bad writers. Upvote this post so its the first result when one Googles ‘Bad writers.,” post, manipulating the search results.

I don’t know if I would go that far, as mixed as my feelings about Season 8 are, it’s not easy to finish a story, well at least not in a satisfying manner. The outcome of the story, such as Bran becoming ruler of Westeros and Jon going back to the wall were from George R.R. Martin, and I’m fine with where everyone ended up (but wouldn’t it have been awesome if the Night King and his Army just rolled through and killed everyone. Everyone.)
Another aspect is the first six season (and even Season 7 for me) made fans accustomed to a certain level of quality and a wonderful storytelling technique. It’s very similar to a subpar sequel to a great movie, throw in the roughly two year wait and the level of hype, and that’s not something that’s easy to deliver on.
