Episode 6 scene 20
The eighth season of HBO‘s Game of Thrones may go down as one of the biggest, “WTF? Why?!?!,” in television history. For me personally, Season 8 hurt me more than The Last Jedi did, and as much as I dislike Rian Johnson’s film, I have to say Season 8 was far more detrimental to GoT, than The Last Jedi was to Star Wars.
While we know that the ending of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels will have similarities to Game of Thrones, there will be some differences. Of course, what those will be is anyone’s guess. Speaking with the German outlet, Welt, Martin talked about us fans knowing AN ending, but not THE ending, you can check it out below.
“People know an ending—but not the ending. The makers of the TV show had overtaken me, which I didn’t expect.”
I wonder if George Martin and George Lucas ever get together, or talk on the phone about how they never should have relinquished control of their respective franchises. Actually, that’s not a bad idea. Hey people over at Collider, can we get a deepfake video with George Lucas and George R.R. Martin hanging out talking about their regret on letting other people screw up their life’s work? And if you like that idea, I have a lot more.
