You know we love Anime here at LRM Online and on the GenreVerse Podcast Network, so we’re happy about possibly hearing some familiar English (and Spanish) voices for some of the AMAZING shows hitting Crunchyroll for Spring 2022. While the debate of subs Vs. dubs will forever rage on, this weeb watches whichever he discovers first. However, there are some dubs I really like due to some of the cast. Also, there are shows where the dub is actually better sounding. Don’t act like the English Goku isn’t better sounding than the (admittedly still great) Masako Nozawa. There’s just something that works about a more deep and manly voice for the absolute slab of muscles known as Goku. Anyways, we’re getting BIGGEST Spring lineup ever with nearly 30 shows! So, let’s take a look at some of Crunchyroll’s Spring 2022 SimulDub lineup.
SPY x FAMILY
This is the series that had all of the Anime-only fans super excited. However, fans of the SPY x FAMILY manga have been white-knuckling their dakimakura, hoping that the show will do it justice. The Anime-Versal Reviews Podcast has picked this as their Spring 2022 series for weekly reviews. The series is set to bring Alex Organ (Doranbolt/Mest Gryder- Fairy Tale), Natalie Van Sistine (Sasha’s Mother/Lisa- Attack on Titan), and Megan Shipman (Akebi- Akebi’s Sailor Uniform)to the roles of Loid, Yor, and Anya Forger respectively.
The hook of this series is Mr. and Mrs. Smith with a psychic kid. Loid is a super spy (codenamed Twilight), Yor is an assassin, and Anya is a kid with the ability to read minds. Together, they will (hopefully) save the world.
The hype is real, people. Check out the chunk of words Crunchyroll sent us for this premier:

The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2-
Crunchyroll describes the (apparently) controversial series’ second season like this:
Naofumi takes up the shield once again after an ancient creature awakens, said to bring horrific disaster. (Will be available in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Russian)
Tomodachi Game
Next up is something many will compare to Squid Game. However, even Squid Game took inspiration from something else… Kaiji. Look it up! Anyways, Tomodachi Game’s description is:
Forced to join a debt repayment game, one group of high schoolers test how solid their friendships are. (Will be available in English, French, and Russian)
Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie
This show has potential, and it’s execution of the “why is she with him” trope will be important. Christine (AVR Podcast) and I are curious about who will voice this show’s characters.
The cool “heartthrob girlfriend” debuts in the upcoming adaptation of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie! (Will be available in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, and Russian)
There are way too many shows to cover here, and I have already met my word count with copy and paste. So, let’s drive some traffic to the source itself, Crunchyroll, where you can read up on what else is hitting.
