Grant Gustin Thanks Ezra Miller For That Flash Moment, Jim Lee Apparently Responsible

Emergency Ezra Miller Meeting

For months, The CW has been teasing some pretty big cameos in the massive crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths. However, we pretty much assumed they’d be restricted to the world of television. Yes, they showed some indication that the film worlds were connected (which was represented at the very beginning of the event), but we didn’t expect them to actually utilize someone from the cast of a recent DC film.

So, it was especially shocking when Grant Gustin started interacting with Ezra Miller. Yup, Ezra Miller, who plays Barry Allen in Justice League, Suicide Squad, and the probably-maybe-eventual Flash film. In a recent Instagram post, Gustin thanked the film star for helping make it happen.

But how on Earth did this whole thing get kickstarted? For the time being, it seems like it’s a mystery, but producer Marc Guggenheim teased an answer on Twitter, where he hinted at the legendary Jim Lee being instrumental in making it happen.

“I’m doing a few interviews tomorrow and I’m sure the subject of Ezra’s appearance will come up, but what you need to know right now is that gentleman and scholar, @JimLee, was instrumental in making this moment happen. 🙏 #CrisisOnInfiniteEarths”

Once those interviews happen, I’m sure we’ll have a better idea of how this whole thing went down. What did you think of this surprise moment?
