Guardians 3 Official Soundtrack And New TV Spot Revealed

James Gunn clarifies the fate of High Evolutionary in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Major SPOILERS here for the film so be warned.

The Guardians 3 official soundtrack has been revealed alongside a new TV Spot for the upcoming movie. Director James Gunn posted the Spotify and Apple playlists on social media late yesterday. Given the popularity of the previous two soundtracks, I expect this one to get a lot of play time.

Click on the link there itself to get the Apple playlist in Gunn’s follow up post.

Of course, fans have already been pouring over the new tracks and trying to work out where they might be used and what will happen in the movie. This soundtrack is also a double LP size and contains loads of tracks from the first two movies as well. Check it out, or, wait until after you’ve seen the movie. Sometimes these tracks don’t come alive for you till you see them in the context of the film. Therefore some people may prefer to wait and see the movie first before checking out the soundtrack. Do as you will.

New TV Spot

Gunn also shared a new TV spot for Guardians 3. Check it out below.

I must admit this spot tickled me. Peter’s line to the High Evolutionary about his RoboCop looking face was brilliant. I guess Quill was likely a huge fan of RoboCop as that released just one year before he was taken by Yondu after his mother’s death. I dunno, I’ve always just loved Gunn’s humor, and he writes these characters better than anyone. I’m therefore really looking forward to this trilogy capper. Guardians 1 I think remains my favorite stand-alone Marvel movie.

As Gunn says, tickets are on sale now for the May 5th release. This will be the first MCU movie since No Way Home that I see in theatres. Frankly, I can’t wait and don’t give a damn if this movie fails to connect in any meaningful way with the rest of the MCU’s future.

What do you think as the Guardians 3 official soundtrack is revealed alongside a new TV Spot? Thoughts below as always on either.
