Luis Gerardo Méndez and Connor Del Rio are the Half Brothers in the new Focus Feature film. The duo portray the opposites although in reality they are not so different.
The Synopsis
Renato (Luis Gerardo Méndez), a successful Mexican aviation executive, is shocked to discover he has an American half brother he never knew about, the free-spirited Asher (Connor Del Rio). The two very different half brothers are forced on a road journey together masterminded by their ailing father, tracing the path their father took as an immigrant from Mexico to the US.

Luis Gerardo Méndez is a successful actor/producer in Mexico. He was the protagonist of Netflix’s first Spanish original comedy series, Club de Cuervos (Club of Crowns). In 2014 he was in the highest grossing foreign film in the US for Cantinflas. He was seen last year playing the Formula One champion driver in Netflix, Murder Mystery and in Charlie’s Angels. Méndez, has been seen as a spokesperson for Verizon wireless Internationally. In Mexico he is the face for Pepsi and the new Toyota Prius. In addition he has his own mezcal label, Ojo De Tigre.
Connor del Rio comes from the prestigious school, The Second City in Chicago. A school where many of the great comedians like Tina Fey, Chris Farley, and Steve Carell have excelled their improvising skills. Del Rio has made several television appearances like Life in Pieces, Comedy Central’s Key & Peele and Chicago PD. He starred in the Blumhouse film, Unfriend: Dark Web and soon will be seen in the indy comedy, Donny’s Party.
