Halo‘s Pablo Schreiber has held talks previously with Marvel Studios the actor conforms in a recent interview. Schreiber, who stars as Master Chief in Halo the Series which launches today on Paramount+, caught up with The Playlist recently. Schreiber was asked if he was hoping to one day land in the MCU?

“I’ve had a bunch of discussions with Marvel at certain points in my career. We’ve never been able to find the right thing at the right time, but I’d certainly be open to that.” Schreiber shared.

So it sounds like whatever was discussed previously was not right for one or the other party. Being Canadian, the outlet then pressed Schreiber on the eventual Wolverine recast at Marvel Studios.

“Oh goodness, yeah. Well, we’ve flirted with that one for a while. That would be fantastic and would certainly be a dream casting. He’s actually my favorite hero from a child. He was always my favorite comic book, so yeah. I’ve had a long, long flirtation with that guy.”

I doubt there are many actors around Schreiber’s age that wouldn’t want a chance to play Wolverine in the MCU. However I think many fans would be disappointed if 6’4″ Schreiber got the role. Most fans seems to want someone shorter and more comic accurate, and instead this would be someone far taller than previous incumbent Hugh Jackman. It remains to be seen what Marvel studios is looking for in Wolverine though. Frankly any kind of rumors ore fan casting for Wolverine seems a little early for now. I think eventually it’s going to happen, but I don’t think it’ll be in Phase 4.

First off I’m eager to see how Schreiber plays John, aka Spartan-117, aka Master Chief. However seen as Halo the series is not yet available where I live I won’t be able to see for myself later today.
