BenDavid Grabinski makes his directorial debut with Happily. A mystery blooms between a happy couple played by Kerry Bishé and Joel McHale.
The Synopsis
Tom (Joel McHale) and Janet (Kerry Bishé) have been happily married for 14 years. In fact, “happily” is a severe understatement. Their honeymoon phase never ended. But a visit from a mysterious stranger (Stephen Root) thrusts them into an existential crisis that leads to a dead body, a lot of questions, and a very tense couples’ trip with a group of friends who may not actually be friends at all. Are Tom and Janet the victims of an elaborate prank? Or was the mysterious stranger even human to begin with? HAPPILY is a darkly comedic thriller with a stellar ensemble cast and a dozen twists and turns—an adult romantic comedy in the spirit of the TWILIGHT ZONE.
Ben David Grabinski is a writer, producer and director. He has been involved in Skiptrace and Are You Afraid of the Dark television series also as a producer. Happily is his full project as a filmmaker.

I spoke with Kerry Bishé and Ben David Grabinski via Zoom about Happily. They gave their feedback about people seeing happiness as a malfunction. Grabinski shared how he feels about his directorial debut and his casting process. It was admirable to have Bishé comfortably speak about the sex scenes and spoke about a scene that did not make the film.
Happily is available in theater, On Digital and On Demand as of today
