Hawkeye will release before Ms Marvel. Now, if you’re just catching up with all this, your reaction may be ‘well duh!’. However you have to remember that for quite some time the entire fan base has had things the other way round, but why? Well production wise, they were much of the same, though Hawkeye wrapped earlier, so that’s not it. I think it was because for a long time many in the geek news industry have predicted a November releaser for Hawkeye. Then we had confirmation from a Marvel Studios exec that both shows would hit Disney+ this year. You can catch that story in the related section below.
When Hawkeye was confirmed only yesterday for a November 24th Release date, the world simply assumed Ms. Marvel would be out earlier. After all, how could Hawkeye released on that date and then another show come after but still make this year as a release? If Hawkeye is six episodes long, that means the finale would hit on December 29th. Even if Ms. Marvel releases the following Wednesday it’s still gonna be 2022. So I think you can see where the confusion lies. All I can say is, I assume Victoria Alonso must have got it wrong? Though Alonso is VP of film production at Marvel Studios.
Now don’t lie, even you are becoming convinced Ms. Marvel must be coming earlier, right, right guys? Oh, just me then. However, according to the latest exclusive from EW about Hawkeye, that appears to not be the case.

Here is the relevant passage that has prompted everyone’s change of thinking from EW.
“In the wake of Loki, the next live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe show due on Disney+ is Hawkeye.”
Pretty clear wouldn’t you say? So I guess this comes down to whether EW was given the correct information or not. However, let’s be clear with Hawkeye dated, previewed officially, and the promotion of it begun, there is no way that Ms. Marvel suddenly jumps up the order and appears out of nowhere is there? This would leave us to assume that Marvel’s Victoria Alonso must have got it wrong and Ms. Marvel will not release in 2021, but early in 2022.
Perhaps Hawkeye itself was delayed a few weeks, or Ms. Marvel was originally supposed to hit first but has suffered a set back? All pure speculation, but I think we can say for certain that Hawkeye will release before Ms Marvel. If we accept that, then we also must accept that Ms. Marvel will not release until 2022, unless Disney decides to have them running concurrently. I think we all know they won’t do that.
