The House of Mouse dropped some major announcements a few days ago at the Disney Investor Day 2020. Among them was confirmation that was Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. While this made Christensen’s return official, if you’re regular reader here you were privy to this information a while back, as LRM was broke the story.
Obi-Wan Kenobi himself, Ewan McGregor had the following to say at the even.
“The most beautiful thing of all is that it’s brought me back together with Hayden. It’ll be amazing to bring those characters back together again, very unexpectedly. Having another swing at each other might be quite satisfying for everybody. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we’re going to enjoy making it.”

Debra Chow, who directed two episodes of The Mandalorian will be back behind the camera for the Kenobi series. She a;so confirmed the two will have a nother swing at each other.
“We couldn’t tell the story of Obi-Wan Kenobi without addressing Anakin or Vader. [Fans will] Definitely see Obi-Wan and Darth Vader get into it again”
It appears as if Disney intends to milk Star Wars for all it’s worth, and who can blame them? So much for franchise fatigue I guess. You’ll hear no complaints from me about there being too much content from a galaxy far, far away. I say bring it on
