The creators of the comedy series Workaholics are venturing over into film territory with their new Netflix original film, Game Over, Man! Netflix has released the original trailer for the film that can pretty much be pitched “Die Hard, but with a bunch of idiots instead of John McClane,” and it’s awesome.

The film stars Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson, and looks to be an incredibly fun night in with a group of friends.

Below is the official synopsis for Game Over, Man!:

“Three friends must level-up and become heroes when their workplace, a Los Angeles hotel, is taken hostage by evil gunmen seeking a large ransom. Game Over, Man! is a dangerous comedy from the creators of Workaholics starring Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson.”

This past year, Netflix has doubled down on their original film output, and their most recent offering, Bright, proved to be a successful $90 million at-home blockbuster. Game Over, Man! seems to be the streaming service once again proving that they can take on mainstream studios with mid-budget comedies.

Of course, the jury is still out on whether or not this is actually a good movie, but had this been released in theaters in the late-2000s, it’s something that could have easily competed with the likes of The Hangover, which went on to be a huge sensation.
