Homelander Will Become A Homicidal Maniac In The Boys Season 3

According to Anthony Starr who plays the character, Homelander will become a homicidal maniac in The Boys Season 3. Now, some fans might already think of Homelander as a homicidal maniac. However, so far Homelander has been on a leash of sorts. Homelander cares about what people think of him, and that ego he has prevents him from doing anything he wants, some times. If the public end up turning against Homelander, what would he do?

It sounds as though things are going to get a lot worse in Season 3. Starr recently commented to Collider about what he’s been told about Homelander in Season 3.

“There are two words that Eric has said to me about Season 3. His description for Homelander Season 3 was, ‘Two words, homicidal maniac.’ That’s all I know.”

“I’m actually looking forward to seeing Homelander off the leash,” Starr added. “It’ll be really fun, just seeing him go unhinged and exact revenge.” And while Starr may not know exactly what’s in store for Season 3, he has a hunch on who should be watching their back. “If you look at the end of Season 2, some people should be more scared than others, for sure,” he said. “William Butcher should always have an alarm bell ringing in his head, and I think some other people have firmly put themselves in the line of fire for Season 3. It should be a lot of fun.”

Season 2 showed us how Vought maintains some semblance of control over Homelander, but it is tenuous at best. If Homelander decides to ‘come out’ as a tyrant, then how can he really be stopped? Could a murderous and all powerful Homelander be what brings ‘The Boys’ back together in Season 3? Homelander certainly has a lot to be angry about. The climax of Season 2 did not go well for Homelander, though I’m loathe to get into specifics here so soon after the finale aired.

What do you think of Starr’s comments that Homelander will become a homicidal maniac in The Boys Season 3? Excited, expected, already was? Leave your thoughts below as always.
