As any fan of the show knows, HBO’s Game of Thrones is very likely to not have a fairytale ending. The show made its name by killing off beloved characters in brutal ways, and the should be epic final season shouldn’t be any different. Iain Glen, who plays Lord of the Friendzone, Jorah Mormont on the show, is one of the few that has read the entire script and knows how the show will end. The actor recently spoke with IANS and talked about what’s in store for the show’s final season:
“Yes, I hope. I can’t tell, but I am one of the few people who has read the script and I know the ending and what happens. When I read it, I thought it was rather brilliant. I am a bit of a fan of the series as well, and it satiated my expectation and hopes, I felt (it was the) conclusion, but we will just have to see. You know with something this big like Game of Thrones, you cannot please everyone. All I can say is that we will be doing what we have done before and the writers have written great episodes. They have had a great strike rate up to now and I am sure that will continue.”

Throughout the show, none of the characters were safe from being killed off, excluding Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen who were essential to the story, and Tyrion Lannister, who is known to be a favorite of George R.R. Martin. The final season should prove to take what the show is known for to the next level, I am thinking that we will lose at least one beloved character in the very first episode, if not more than one. The conclusion of perhaps the greatest television show to ever grace the screen is still quite a ways away, until then, all fans can do is speculate.
