Director James Mangold confirms on social media that Indiana Jones 5 editing has officially begun. The 5th Indy movie finished shooting in the last couple weeks and as such it’s post-production time. Although Mangold confirms he’s been doing a little cutting whilst shooting, the process of editing the movie began yesterday. Check it out.
Although I've been cutting while shooting, I officially start editing INDY today! To all those asking about trailers and teasers, still drops and first looks and other peeks or sneaks, this is the right place to look for info, but just a bit too soon. Be well and be patient!

So no sign of any official images or teasers yet. In fact as you can see by Mangold’s post the movie does not even have a name yet. A name will need to be decided upon by Lucasfilm before any marketing can truly begin. Although I’d guess Mangold already knows, or least has a favorite idea for a title already. When it comes to rumors there really hasn’t been too much. The vast majority of information on Indy 5 has come from BTS images taken during location shoots.
Although by that token we do actually know a fair bit about the movie. The crucial piece we are missing, which dictates every Indy movie, is the MacGuffin. The Lost Ark, The Shankara Stones, The Holy Grail, the Crystal Skull. Okay apart from that last one which was a bit meh, the artifacts and the mystery behind them has always been a huge factor in Indiana Jones. That being said, I think once we know the title, which is highly likely to mention that MacGuffin, plus all the BTS leaks, we will know a lot more about what is going on in Indy 5.

My guess is that news on Indy 5 is about to go very dark until the official marketing push begins. Step 1, I feel will be a logo, some images and that elusive title. Until then , barring any unforeseen leaks, it might be a pretty dry period for any news on Indy 5.
What do you think of the news that Indiana Jones 5 editing has officially begun. What are your hopes for the James Mangold directed sequel? Thoughts below as always.
