Indiana Jones 5 – How Ford Stays Fit Enough To Film A Fifth Flick

More Indy 5 Sicily Set Photos Show Both Ford and Mikkelsen In Costume

Living legend Harrison Ford is 77.  Most people around that age, even actors are long-since retired. At the very least they relegate themselves to roles that don’t require a lot of action, that are easier on the body. Not Harrison Ford. The actor, as I assume anyone reading this article knows, is set to don the fedora for the fifth time as the rough and tumble archeologist, Indiana Jones.

For most any other 77 -year-old this role would likely be too daunting of an outing, but as his character once said, “It’s not the years honey, it’s the mileage.” Ford, is still quite active, said to be performing tasks around his ranch, along with other physical activities, and these chores are what keeps the actor in shape. Ford recently spoke with and in his own words described his current state of fitness, you can check it out below.

“For my age, still pretty fit.”

I would say he’s likely fit for people half his age.  The man has been through quite a lot during his time as Dr. Jones, including getting dysentery while shooting the first film, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Indiana Jones is as iconic as Han Solo, and pretty much any other character from any other film and his upcoming adventure is a film I am very much looking forward to, and while the consensus is this will likely be Ford’s last time playing Indy, with the guy’s routine, it’s possible he would be up for at least one more after the upcoming film.
