It ha to be said that so far online reactions to this official clip have been mixed. I have already seen the extended version of this clip which starts around the same point but goes quite a bit farther. As a chase scene goes I thought it was okay, however I also felt like it wasn’t all that either. As for the dialogue, there’s nothing too bad, but it doesn’t flow either. The extended clip I would say cements that view rather than lifts it.

I always think a scene taken out of context isn’t the best idea. For me, I also don’t like having proper clips like this used as a marketing tool. My other worry is that of all the clips to show, did they feel this best set up the movie in audiences minds? I can’t say for sure on that one. However, if you do some digging online, the general reaction I’m seeing isn’t exactly a hype train.

Personally, I’ll wait to catch the whole movie before I make any judgement. However, I did tell folks on our discord I wasn’t that impressed with the extended clip from Celebration.

I guess at this point there is little more that can be said until the movie has been seen by critics and then us fans. However, perhaps the clip above will at least give fans a glimpse into what we might expect from probably the final ever Indiana Jones movie.

What did you think of first clip for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny to be released online? As always, leave any thoughts below.
