Injustice Is Next In Line For DC Animated Movie

Yesterday brought us the trailer for Batman: The Long Halloween Part Two. With the release coming on July 27 (Digital) and August 11 (Blu-ray), fans find that it will not only be rated R (yes!), but Warner Bros. Animation continues to hype their upcoming products. I say keep them coming! Next in line for the DC Animated Universe? Injustice! That’s right, the special features are said to include a look at the upcoming video game/comic series adaptation.

The tease brings very little information. We are not sure if the animated feature of Injustice will follow the video game, Tom Taylor’s prequel comic series, or both. Either way it is a win!

If you have not read the series or played the game, I would highly recommend both. In Injustice we get an evil Superman due to the Joker’s manipulation and the death of Lois Lane. The Man of Steel descends into the darkness while Batman leads the fight against Superman.

Fans want to see a dark Superman. We definitely did not get that in Justice League. The Snyder Cut somewhat covers that area with the Knightmare scenes. However, having an Injustice animated feature can definitely provide the downward spiral of Superman.
